| The USCG First District is implementing a web-based PATON application to manage its inventory of approximately 5000 PATONs. The system has already been successfully tested by District One staff and at Aids to Navigation Team Bristol, Rhode Island. The test project resulted in a streamlined, user-friendly application process that enhanced information flow and reduced red tape. Improved cooperation and communication between critical stakeholders slashed processing time, increased accountability, enhanced authority of Harbor Management Plans and improved Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) within the port of Providence. |
